Pay by Text

  • Set up text payments through your online account.
  • Update your preferences online at any time.
  • Stop all messages by texting STOP to 68731.
Phone Bill Payment

Pay by Phone

  • Have your KCP&L account number and payment method (checkbook or debit/credit card) handy 
  • Call 888-471-5275.
  • Check: Follow the voice prompts. Checks post the same day if you call by 2:30 p.m. on business days. After 2:30 p.m., they post the next business day.
  • Visa, MasterCard or debit card: The system will connect you to Western Union for processing. These payments post within two business days.
Mail Bill Payment

Pay by Mail

  • Mail your payment using your KCP&L return envelope
  • Include your bill stub for accurate and timely processing.
  • If you don't have your envelope, mail your payment to the appropriate address based on your service territory:
